My Project
For this Hop I colored up Joyful Tress in a scene using the Spring Tree Branch and the Spring Pebble Ground. I used a new technique that I will share with you. I masked the images using Miskit liquid frisket. Then I used my Copic airbrush to make the sky background. Next I used an eraser and erased off the liquid frisket. Finally I was able to color in Tress and the other elements. It took a lot longer than I am used to but I love how it turned out! I will be using this technique again. Here are some images of the process….

Copics Used

Skin: E0000, E000, E50, E21, R20
Hair: E34, E35, E37

Flower Tree Branch: E35, E39, YG01, YG67, YG63, R81, R83, R85, R59

  2. That's awesome Rebecca. Did you have any spots on the paper that got ruined with the masking fluid? I had troubles when I tried this myself but have since read that the brand of masking fluid can make all the difference.

PS. LOVE the finished scene. xo

    1. Zoe, I did have problems in one small area where it tore the paper but that was because I tired to pull on the frisket instead of erasing it. Other than that it worked pretty good and it did not affect the coloring with the Copics as far as I could tell.
